Paddle

As found on Facebook the other day:

It reminded me that way back in the 1970s, i wrote about this movie in my journal in grade 3. I've dug it up & will post what i wrote here. Here it is, i've found it.

PADDLE TO THE SEA

One night in Nipigon, an Indian boy carved an Indian canoe. It had a warrior inside it. When he was finished he put it on the snow. The ice and snow began to melt. The canoe took off. It went into the creek and the canoe sailed away. A long time later on Paddle was in yucky polotid (polluted) water. he was in Lake Erie. You see, Lake Erie was in a mess then. He traveled a little further. All of the sudden, a very very VERY big cargo ship was coming!! Two big doors began to open up. The cargo ship almost hit Paddle! At day every thing was safe except for on thing. He was coming close to St. lawerence falls! When he came a half an inch. He was falling down! When he got to the bottom there were a lot of rivers. He traveled up St Laurence river. He sailed for a long time. He ended up in an animal sanctuary. A boy who couldn't read found him. The boy put him in the water. He floated out. Then he was very far from there. Then got frozen. When the snow melted, away he went. A fisherman found and put him back. Then a man found him and brought him up to a light house and painted him and put him back.

There you go. Pretty much me recounting the story of the movie at age 8.

Here, a bonus:

Thurs May 3 age 8 grade 3
I was hurrying to school when suddenly a huge lion chased me. He had sharp teeth and a shaggy mane too.
