C64 time

(64K) Memories...

I've written about the Commodore 64 here before & will do so again. I contend, as always, that it was the greatest home computer ever & things have declined in that regard ever since.

How good was it, you may ask? Well, i'll put it to you this way: i spent much of the last decade of my life programming in a variety of languages at my old job. I don't think i could now recall one single line of code despite all the time spent there. But i can still remember Load "*",8,1 or IF X = 1 THEN GOTO 100 and more.

I programmed my grade 10 final computer project on a 64. It was a text based game. While most other kids tried to program simple spelling or arithetic games, mine was meant to be a simulation of what it would be like to work at NORAD during a nuclear apocalypse.

Maybe i'll riff on the C64 for a few posts. God knows i could fill volumes on that topic alone.

Meanwhile, enjoy some music courtesy of an old 64 classic.
